Image & Model Guided Surgery

Patient-specific parameters are increasingly used for obtaining optimal surgical treatments. The type of required image and functional data depends on the particular application. Furthermore, models and knowledge such as gained from biomechanical Modelling and Simulation are very important and should be included in the planning process. Finally, methods for precise realization of the surgical planning and intraoperative adjustments are needed. In this research group, methods for data processing, planning, and surgical guidance as well as overall clinical workflows are developed.
