Integration, Usability- and Risk Engineering

Ergonomic system design and usability engineering are major factors in risk management of medical devices. In the Center for Usability and Risk Engineering for Medical Devices (CUREMeD), we develop methodology and tools for risk management with a special focus on human errors. The HiFEM Method or CARAD software tool are awarded examples of our work in this field. The CUREMeD usability lab provides all relevant usability testing facilities for usability studies for product development and evaluation with hospitals and industrial partners. The CUREMeD usability lab is supported by CUREMeD.
