Promoting equal opportunities: Five female medical engineering students attend the DMEA 2025

As part of the "Promotion of Equality" program run by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (Faculty 4) at RWTH Aachen University, five female students have been given the opportunity to attend this year's medical informatics trade fair DMEA (Digital Medical Expertise & Applications) in Berlin. The goal of this initiative is to support young talent and give them an early insight into the diverse career paths available in the field of medical technology.

DMEA is one of the most important trade fairs for digital healthcare. By attending specialist technical presentations, panel discussions, and innovation presentations, the participants were able to learn about current trends in medical technology, such as artificial intelligence, image processing, and gender medicine. They also took the opportunity to make contacts with future employers and discuss potential career paths such as working student positions, internships, and master-theses topics. In addition to the exciting discussions and debates on forward-looking topics related to digitalization in healthcare, participants were able to deepen their technical knowledge and expand their network.
