SDC OP Demonstrator at the Innovation Forum Medical Technology in Tuttlingen
According to the principle "Taking health to a new level – Synergies. Potential. Progress.", the Chair of Medical Engineering and the OR.NET e.V. were represented at this year's 17th Medical Technology Innovation Forum in Tuttlingen. Here, our research team presented the latest results relating to the OR demonstrator from the BMFTR-funded Medi.NET research project. With the help of the open communication standard ISO IEEE 11073 SDC, not only clinical workflows are optimised, but additional decision support and automated documentation in the operating theatre of the future will also be possible.
The OR system shown in the picture demonstrates how devices from different manufacturers can be networked securely, interoperably and manufaturer-independently.
