The 8th Cerebrospinal Fluid Dynamics Symposium took place at the Historische Sternwarte in Göttingen on 18 and 19 June 2026. Over two days, clinical, scientific and engineering perspectives were brought together on the role of CSF dynamics in conditions such as Chiari malformation, syringomyelia, spinal cord injury, degenerative cervical myelopathy, hydrocephalus and dementia.
mediTEC was represented by an invited talk given by Anne Benninghaus: "Investigating the role of dynamic compliance in the pathogenesis of Normal pressure hydrocephalus". The contribution examines the extent to which dynamic compliance is involved in the development of normal pressure hydrocephalus.
The program spanned clinical surgery and imaging, advanced MRI techniques, pre-clinical studies and in silico and in vitro modelling, and offered an intensive multidisciplinary exchange.
