SteriNext receives funding under "Start-up Transfer.NRW" - project now underway

We are pleased to announce the launch of SteriNext, a project funded through the Start-up Transfer.NRW programme (01.04.2026 - 31.03.2028). The initiative originates from the Chair of Medical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University and is being driven forward by its founders, Dr.-Ing. Jan Heibeyn and Okan Yilmaz, M.Sc..

SteriNext is developing a digital platform that enables medical device reprocessing units (in Germany known as AEMPs) to compare and systematically improve their processes. The goal is to strengthen quality, transparency, and efficiency in a clinical area that is critical to patient safety.

With support from Start-up Transfer.NRW, a North Rhine-Westphalia programme that helps bring technology-oriented university spin-offs to market, the team can now take the next steps toward founding a company. Further updates will follow as the project progresses.
